Puneet Sidhu
Hi there! My name is Puneet Sidhu. I am a registered psychologist (#5325) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
If you're seeking a compassionate, non-judgmental, and thoughtful therapist, I'm here for you. With over 10 years of experience, I've worked in hospitals, community mental health with Alberta Health Services, and private practice. Your journey towards well-being begins here. Let's navigate it together.
My approach revolves around building strong working relationships with my clients. I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where individuals feel empowered to express themselves without the fear of judgment or rejection.
I work with children and youth ages 8+, and I have extensive experience working with Indigenous youth and children in care, gained through many years of involvement with Alberta Health Services (AHS). Additionally, I specialize in Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) cases, helping individuals navigate the emotional and psychological challenges following traumatic incidents, and WCB claims.
I'm deeply committed to supporting adults, couples, and youth as they navigate various challenges, including anxiety, depression, bullying, harassment, low self-esteem, trauma (including physical and sexual assault), work stress, and relationship struggles. I also specialize in working with paramedics, firefighters and healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses.
Embarking on a journey of self-discovery and healing takes courage. If you're navigating challenges and seeking understanding, I invite you to reach out. In a confidential and supportive space, we can explore your unique path toward well-being together.
I offer services in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Many people I work with find it difficult to be at peace and to live full, meaningful life—let alone a successful, enjoyable life. This is often because they feel overwhelmed by painful emotions, nightmares, memories, and thoughts, or because they feel alone and stuck in unwanted emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, shame, or guilt.Often, they have been let down by others and carry lingering feelings of hurt and resentment. They may be hard on themselves—judging, criticizing, and expecting rejection. They tell themselves things like, “I’m not good enough,” “I’m not lovable,” “my life is all wrong,” “it’s not supposed to be like this,” or “where do I go from here?” Sometimes, they even come to hate themselves and what their life has become.
Many have tried to “push it down” or “walk it off,” only to find that the unpleasant feelings continue to follow them. Some, new to therapy, worry that therapy won’t help—or might even make things worse. Others come to me with hope and expectations that a new approach will help issues lingering after years of therapy. Most clients who I work with are thankful and surprised at the relief they achieve after a few sessions.
